The tunic/shirt/dress workshop - Saturday 25th September 10am-4pm

Relaxed fit pull-on tunic, shirt or dress - you decide how long. This pattern features three-quarter or full-length sleeves and a one-piece collar or band and includes an inset front placket with pleat detail and an inverted pleat at the back.It can be made with a curved hem with a slightly longer back or a straight hem. An alternative dropped shoulder version can be achieved with a simple pattern hack, full instructions for which will be included in the workshop. Make it in any lightweight woven fabric.
In this 6 hour workshop you will cut out and make your tunic using simple stitches.
Suitable for beginners (with a basic knowledge of using a sewing machine) to intermediate sewers.
In this workshop you will learn how to place your pattern pieces, cut out fabric, finish seams, sew collars and plackets and attach sleeves with easing stitches. The workshop will cover all techniques needed to make the tunic, dress or shirt.
You will need to bring:
• a sewing machine
• your fabric and matching thread
• basic sewing kit - pins, scissors etc.
an overlocker is also useful ( but not necessary to complete the top)
